A case in point

On July 30, 2014, a natural calamity led to a massive landslide at Malin village in Pune district, Maharashtra, India. The massive landslide affected the routine life leading to loss of human lives. On August 4, 2014 close to 150 people were found dead and 40 houses had been buried under the landslide.

Over 400 National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) soldiers were deputed by the Government of India to carry out rescue operations, removing the mud with excavators and searching for survivors.

“Prime Minister of India expressing his condolences to the victims had announced asking citizens of India to come forward and help the affected Malin village”, said an Indian government spokesman. Responding to the urgency , SANY India decided to send across the excavator on the site.

The head of operations at the site from NDRF appreacited the effort along with the efficiency of Sany excavators. Furthmore, requested for two more excavators to be sent at site to speed up the rescue operation. SANY India reacted to the request by deliverying two more excavators on the same day. A total of three SANY excavators and seven operators have been sent out to undertake this rescue work. SANY machines have helped in finding 64 bodies in this rescue operation.
